I just love Chevron

I am just in love with chevron fabric... I talk about, I daydream about it.  Yes, it is quite sad how much I love it.  I think the fact that it is hard to get makes it that much more desireable.  I mean who doesn't want what they can't have??

Fresh Start

I have been saying over and over in my head that I need to get things going again.  I have been keeping busy with private orders or making things for myself.  Then came along a local craft fair that I found out about 2 weeks ago and it was the kick in my pants that I needed to really get going again. 
I am in love with these macrame bracelets



Then I figured out how to make these nifty flowers


and I found a no-slip grip for them that kept one in Bella's hair all day.... it is sad to say how excited that made me.
Then there is chevron fabric... how I love thee....


I have a yellow one as well but I am totally infatuated with this teal one that is backordered everywhere.  I never thought I would be as in love with fabric as I am.  Yes... again, I am very sad ;)

Amy Butler's Cosmo Bag....

I finally had time to try the Cosmo bag from Amy Butler's Style Stitches (http://www.amazon.com/Amy-Butlers-Style-Stitches-Wonderful/dp/0811866696 )  .  
It was harder than I anticipated but I love the way it turned out.

It is larger than I thought but I never really checked the measurements, I just fell in love with the bag.  It would be perfect for a diaper bag or a weekender, I think it will be a little too large for everyday use




It has tons of pockets  (2 on either side and 4 large ones on the inside)

I would love to try another one for everyday but I would shrink the pattern next time.
Now... I need to find a pattern for a matching wallet :)

New stuff ...

I got to try a couple of new things these past couple of months.  One of them being a DJ Lance Shirt.  I was not sure how I could make it but I am pleased with how it came out.  A friend ordered the whole crew for her daughters for Christmas

I also did some vintage plane tees

I got the chance to make some super-hero outfits for some little ladies.  Pictured is the pink one but I also made a lavender one (they must be some dynamic duo)

Here is the first clutch purse I have made for Pam

it has double magnetic closure and one pocket inside


This little one is for Megan who is going to have a baby girl soon.... this will be perfect to throw in her diaper bag.  It has two pockets to hold just what she needs


And here are some things for the little lady once she gets here
A little white cocoon with a removable flower.  There is also a matching flower on a skinny elastic headband

Robots, Reindeer, and Super Heroes!

I must say that I really do like the next three pictures (maybe I am a little biased but that is beside the point)
Kim ordered a set of these reindeer shirts for a gift and now I have to make them for my own kids because I love them so!

Keri's boys also have a birthday coming up.  They are celebrating by being super heroes.  I had never made a satin cape before (and while it is more difficult to work with) I am a total convert... I love them!  It is difficult to capture them in a picture (the red one is under the green one to help flatten it out a little)

Keeping busy ...

I wish there were more hours in a day.... I have a bajillion projects in my head and not enough time to do them.  A good friend of mine had shown me this awhile back and I thought it was super cute.  I finally sat down to do it the other day and I really like the way the mug cozy came out.  Sure, it is is not a necessity but it is fun!

Charlie and Lennon are turning 3 and I am guessing they like dinosaurs (because what kid doesn't??_


and finally I did another Sesame St. character... here is Abbie Cadabbie. (this one was fun, it was for a Mom while the Dad was Oscar and the kids were Elmo and Cookie Monster)
